Phenomenon of phase separation, which is one of diffusional phase transformations, is a basic knowledge in materials science and includes still unsolved problems. In the present study, the nonlinear pattern formation has been mainly investigated during the intermediate stage of phase separation. In 1995, both neutron and X-ray small angle scattering measurements were carried out to obtain the structure factor for Al-Zn, Al-Li and Fe based alloys. The mechanism of nonlinear phase separation has been elucidated by comparing the experimental data with the Langer's nonlinear theory. In 1996, In order to apply our consideration to the industrial materials, the driving force and phase relation were made clear in Al-Zn-Mg and Fe-Cr-Mo alloys by using the computer soft "Thermo Calc". Kinetics of phase separation were analyzed by applying time scaling as well as structure scaling to the change of structure factors.
