The Study hereof has a purpose to give a farther progress to the study on the water transportation in mediaeval eastern Japan, which becomes full of dispute recently. For this purpose such a planning has been done as follows.(1) History of historical research.(2) Collection and sort-out of documents, and its compilation.(3) Writing articles.As for (1) is done "Present Situation and its Problems over the Study on the Water Transportation in Mediaeval Eastern Japan", Minegishi Sumio & Murai Akisuke (des), Goods Distribution and Cities in Mediaeval Eastern Japan, 1995, Yamakawa.As for (2) is done nothing yet, because of technical problem of computer and computer scientists.As for (3) is done some of them, and some others are remaining undone.Efforts have been made for the future publication of a book which will consist of (1), (2), (3), and a list of literature.

本文的研究，旨在为近年来争议颇多的日本东部地区的水上交通研究提供一个新的视角。为此目的，这样的规划已经完成如下。(1)历史研究史。(2)文件的收集、整理和汇编。(3)撰写文章。关于（1）已完成“中世纪东日本水运研究的现状及其问题”，Minegishi Sumio & Murai Akisuke（des），中世纪东日本的商品分布和城市，1995年，Yamakawa。关于（2）由于计算机和计算机科学家的技术问题，尚未完成。关于（3）已完成其中一些，还有一些尚未完成。已经为将来出版一本书做出了努力，这本书将包括（1），（2），（3）和文献清单。
