1 戦後の高等学校の国語教科書所収の古典教材の調査とデータベース化古典教材論は作品レベルではなく、所収されている部分レベルで行うべきであるとの観点から、教科書所収教材の調査を行った。昭和22年度から平成元年度の教科書の調査を終了したが、データベース化については、作品レベルでのデータベースが発表されたので、それとの整合性を持たせるための調整ができていない。2 古典教育の実践・研究文献目録の調査とデータベース化文献の収集は終了したが、データベース化は昭和60年度発行の文献まで進んでいる。シソ-ラスを構築していなかったことから、項目別の検索可能な状態にはなっていない。3 入試問題と教科書教材の指導内容の比較同一教材を対象とすることを前提としていたが、対象教材が少なく、一般性を持たせることができないことに気づいた。そこで入試問題に見られる出題内容と学習参考書の編集内容との比較を行い、その上で教科書の学習の手引きとの比較を行うことに変更した。学習参考書の文献収集が予定外であったことから、入試問題との比較は着手できなかった。4 今後の研究展開対象をある教材に絞り、教科書教材史、実践研究史が可能であることは発表予定の研究成果によって明らかにできた。そこでは教材研究と国文学研究の乖離を指摘している。また教科書における古典教材編纂の史的研究は平成7年11月の全国大学国語教育学会で発表を行い、教材選択が拡大の一途を辿っているわけではないことを明らかにした。入試問題と古典の教育的意義との分裂の実証的な検証については未だ十分ではない。
