项目摘要

本年度は主に(1)人間の随伴性判断が要請される事態の論理構造の分析と、(2)このような分析に基づいて作成された実験課題の下での、被験者の随伴性判断の方略についての実証データの取得という2つの点からの研究を行なった。第1の点に関しては、文献研究ならびにそれに基づく理論的検討を行なった。複数の事象間の関係性を検出するという情報処理の過程は、これまで帰納推論や帰属推論、動物の連合学習などの研究領域で、相互にほぼ独立に扱われてきた。特に人間の随伴性判断についての理論的研究の背景としては、主に動物の連合学習、特に古典的条件づけの枠組みのみが援用されてきた。申請者の今年度の研究では、これまで相互にほとんど関係づけられることのなかった、これらの研究領域を“共変動査定事態"という概念を導入して関係づけ、関連する諸領域で用いられている概念を整理した。この研究の成果は雑誌論文として発表した。第2の点に関しては、随伴性判断の方略を、判断課題の誤答パタンから同定する課題を作成し、大学生を被験者として集団実験の方法で実施した。判断方略同定の方法については従来からの研究の知見を利用した。これまでのほとんどの研究では、随伴性判断時の情報処理について、単一のメカニズムのみを想定しており、被験者間の変動はすべて誤差として扱われている。本研究における実験では、従来このように誤差として扱われてきた被験者間の変動を情報処理方略の相違として検出し、さらに課題の難易によってこの方略が変化することを明らかにした。この事実は、随伴性判断における情報処理モデルの構築に寄与するものであると同時に、人間の情報処理の多様性を示すものであると考えられる。ここで得られた実証的データについては現在、分析を継続中である。得られた知見は1996年度中に開催される幾つかの学会での発表および雑誌論文への投稿を予定している。
