项目摘要

源順は、本邦初の百科辞書『倭名類聚抄』の著者として知られるほか、文人、歌人としても多彩な活動を行ってきた人物である。本研究では、順の家集およびその和歌に注目し、精緻な表現分析を施すことによって、『後撰和歌集』をはじめ順編・作者説も提示されている『古今和歌六帖』『宇津保物語』との文学的交渉を表現論敵視座から解明しようと努めた。また、その作業と並行して『順集』伝本の書承関係についても若干の考察を試みた。まずは上掲諸作品の和歌本文をパーソナルコンピュータに入力、簡易データベース化することにより、従来の索引類ではなし得なかった多種多様の検索を可能とした。その結果、順の歌には後撰集入集歌の受容の跡が顕著に認められ、梨壺における順の業務が『万葉集』の訓釈や古歌の蒐集・整理に留まらず、『後撰和歌集』の編纂事業にまで及んでいた可能性が強いとみられることが判明した。また、『図書寮叢刊古今和歌六帖』の校異本文をデータ化し、より精緻な検索を試みた結果、該集からは順歌との表現的関連を窺わせる歌作がこれまで以上に検出された。これは該集の順編者説を推し進める上での傍証となりうるものと思われる。『宇津保物語』所収歌についても順歌との関連詠が少なからず見出された。加えて、東京(尊経閣文庫、内閣文庫、国文学研究資料館)への出張では、『順集』伝本の披見とマイクロ資料の複写および関連文献の蒐集を行った。その結果、尊経閣文庫蔵13-56本「続小草内和歌」は冷泉家時雨亭文庫蔵本の転写本とみてよく、宮内庁書陵部蔵501・143本と兄弟の関係にあることが判明した。
