1.従来の調査に加え今年度の調査により、仙覚『萬葉集註釈』として知られていた諸本の書誌的情報(原本調査ないし複製・紙焼写真による)を、写本は33本中32本、版本は27本中7本に関して得た。(1)『国書総目録』『古典籍総合目録』に仙覚『萬葉集註釈』として挙げられた写本・版本のうち京都大学図書館蔵写本、彰考館蔵写本(二冊本)、彰考館蔵写本(一冊本)、新潟大学付属図書館蔵写本(佐野文庫本)、同版本は、別の本が誤られて『萬葉集註釈』として登録されたものであった。火災等で失われた本も除くと、確実に現存する『萬葉集註釈』の写本は25本となる(但し、神宮文庫蔵写本(一冊本)は未調査)。今後版本の調査を継続し、『国書総目録』等に未だ記載されていない写本・版本についての情報収集にも努めたい。(2)今年度の書誌的調査と本文収集の大きな成果としては、賀茂別雷神社三手文庫蔵版本の今井似閑の書入が、善本である国文学研究資料館蔵本、阪本龍門文庫蔵本と同系統の本との校合を書き入れたものであることが判明したことが挙げられる。この書入は、今は失われた、国文学研究資料館蔵本と同系統の片仮名本の存在を示し(現存するこの系統の諸本はいずれも平仮名本)、諸本研究に新たな材料をもたらすものである。また、『萬葉集註釈』の本文整定に際して参照すべき重要な情報ともなろう。2.佐佐木信綱氏の翻刻の底本である、お茶の水図書館蔵写本の原本を調査した結果、巻第十末の奥書が別筆で書かれたものであり、奥書からこの本の系統を直ちには決定できないことが判明した。また佐佐木氏翻刻と照合すると、翻刻にない異文注記や、翻刻では分からない別筆による追加本文が多々存在するなど、『萬葉集註釈』の本文校訂のためには詳細な原本調査と佐佐木氏翻刻の再検討が必要である(今年度は巻第一の本文調査を完了した)。
