项目摘要

実験1は、手話を学習した経験のある健聴者を対象に形態的特性に基づいた体制化現象について検討した。その結果、教示群と自発群のいずれにおいても試行数が増すにつれて再生数が増加することが示された。実験2は、手話を日常場面で実際に使用している聴覚障害者を対象に教示と試行数の要因が手話の形態的特性に基づく体制化に及ぼす影響を検討した。その結果、試行数の要因は認められたが、教示要因の要因は認められなかった。実験3は、手話の形態的特性を基準とした時にそれぞれ5事例からなる4つのカテゴリーに体制化可能なリストを用いて教示と手話の試行数の要因が手話の体制化に及ぼす影響を聴覚障害者を対象に検討した。その結果、試行数の要因は認められず、教示の効果は認められた。このことから聴覚障害者にとっても教示要因は、手話の形態的特性に基づく体制化の規定要因となりえることが示唆された。実験4は、言語モダリティー要因に着目して実験的検討を行った。その結果、言語モダリティー効果が顕著に示された。言語モダリティー要因と被験者内要因との関係を検討した結果、(1)年令要因とS+L条件、(2)W条件と聴力損失程度の要因、(3)専攻科入学以前のコミュニケーション・メディア要因とS条件、(4)失聴時期の要因とW条件の4つの間に関連が認められた。又、系列位置曲線を分析した結果、定位再生処理法で処理した場合に典型的な系列位置効果がみられた。実験5は、モダリティー情報に関する教示が再認に影響を及ぼすかどうかを検討した。対象はその結果、(1)モダリティー教示は、再認に影響を及ぼさなかった。(2)モダリティー別にみるとS-Sが他の条件より再認数が有意に多かった。(3)モダリティー教示は、モダリティー判断にも影響を及ぼさなかった。以上の結果から聴覚障害者の手話の視覚的処理に関する考察がなされた。
