项目摘要

ディオファントス近似には超越数を代数的数で近似する超越近似と呼ばれるものがある。本年、我々は超越近似についてある場合に今迄の一般的な結果を改良する近似を得た。Kを有理数体上有限次の代数体とし、K上定義された楕円曲線をEとする。Eのn個の積をGとおく。Gの正規化された指数写像の、ゼロでないK有理点の逆像の座標を考え、そのK係数の1次結合の絶対値の下からの評価について考察する。このような評価は例えば楕円曲線の周期の超越近似などをふくむが、これについて、係数の高さ関数というものに関する部分の改良を得た。そして、この高さに関する評価については、best possibleな結果を得られた。ここには以前の研究者による、N.I.Fel'dmanのアイデアを用いた改良の考え方に加え、補助関数の微分係数をある有理数で割ったものが、整数になる、という事実に気づいたということが、本質的な鍵となってきいている。

ディオファントスapproximationにはtranscendental numberをalgebraic numberでapproximationするtranscendental approximationとcallばれるものがある.
