英文摘要
The purpose of this study was to investigate the issues concerning a new curricurulm so called "cross-curriculum" For that purpose, we examined, at first, several fundamental issues, definitions of cross-curriculum, objectives, contents, and management, etc. In order to exam these issues, we analyzed the structure and contents of the cross-curricular elements of the National Curriculum in the United Kingdom. Then, in order to examine several pratical problems, we observed 9 coureses of the cross-curriculum in the Akasi experimental junior high school. The questionnaire and interviews for teachers and students were carried out. In the questionnaire and interviews, they were asked to evaluate the 9 coureses from the view point of cross-curricular approach.The main relevant points of the development of the better cross-curriculm were as follows :1. to promote variety and flexiblity of structure as much as possible in the curriculum.2. to develop curriculum materials related STS issues such as information, environmental problems and advances in scientific technology.3. to improve communication between teachers.
