“重要文化财产”是国家政府指定的历史建筑。“地方文化财产”是由地方自治机构指定的，是每个地区文化遗产不可或缺的代表。然而，这些历史建筑的修复方法尚未充分确立。未来文物保护与修复的主要目标是：(A)充分的学术研究；(B)在保护理念下进行修复；(C)准备可靠的文献；(D)建立修复制度和提高保护技术。本文从以下三个方面提出了地方文化财产保护与修复的理论和方法。(1)日本文化厅指导下实施的重要文化财产修复项目的现状分析(2)地方文化财产修复项目的现状分析(3)以上问题的比较研究，以明确需要解决的具体问题(1)保护与修复项目实施的现状(2)保护的实际情况第三章地方文化财产修复中的问题第四章地方文化财产保护与修复指南

"Important Cultural Properties" are historic buildings designated by the National Government."Local Cultural Properties" are those designated by local self-governing bodies, which are indispensable representatives of the cultural heritage of each area.However, methods for restoration have not yet been sufficiently established for such historic buildings.There are four major future goals for their preservation and restoration : (A) sufficient academic research, (B) restoration under the philosophy of preservation, (C) preparation of reliable documentation, and (D) establishment of restoration systems and advancement of conservation techniques.This paper proposes theories and methods for conservation and restoration of local cultural properties through the following three approaches.(1) Analysis of the present condition of restoration projects executed on Important Cultural Properties executed under the guidance of Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs(2) Analysis of the present condition of restoration projects executed on local cultural properties(3) Comparative studies on the above issues for specifying concrete problems to be solvedIndexChapter 1 Present Conditions in the execution of conservation an restoration projectsChapter 2 Actual conditions of Conservation TechniquesChapter 3 Problems in the restoration of local cultural propertiesChapter 4 Guidelines for Conservation and Restoration of Local Cultural Properties
