英文摘要
High speed mobile communication channels are usually impaired by nonlinear intersymbol interference(ISI) and additive noise. In order to reconstruct the transmitted data sequence, the ISI must be compensated at the receiver and the compensation is referred to as channel equalization.A considerable interest has been shown in the application of the results of linear filter theory, because the linear filters are its simplicity in design and implementation. However, they will not perform adequately for telephone channel at rates higher than 4800 bits/s in telecommunication systems since the error probability of transmitting data is caused almost entirely by nonlinear distortion. A very common system model that has been employed with relatively good success in nonlinear filtering applications, such as system identification and noise canceller of nonlinear system, is the Volterra system model. The Volterra model is presented by the Volterra series expansion that is well known as a generalization of the Taylor series expansion.In this project, we designed nonlinear equalizer based on Volterra model and the validity of the proposed equalizer are demonstrated by simulations.
