项目摘要
The purpose of this study was to clarify the subjective sleep quality and coping behavior of 126 elderly people living at home. The elderly were residents of central H City in Shizuoka Prefecture, were over 65 years of age, and were surveyed between 1998 and 2000 (3 years).(1) Age distribution was 65〜94 years in the first year, with a mean age of 74.0±6.8 years.(2) There were 42 males (32.5%) and 84 females (66.7%).(3) Most of the elderly surveyed lived in a family with no spouse. The third year showed a significant increase (p=0.05) over the other two years.(4) The TMIG activity potential force index significantly decreased (p=0.05) with each passing year.(5) In terms of subjective sleep quality, most complained over 3 years of being early morning awake and unable to sleep once aroused. There was no great change in this subjective sleep quality over the 3 years surveyed.(6) In terms of coping behavior, those on stabilizers and sleeping drugs ranged from 13.0% to 20.4%.
