In order to compare dietary life of Japanese American in Hawaii and California with that of Japanese in Japan, survey of Dietary life was conducted. A questionnaire was prepared to obtain information about food intake each day in a week by recording what they eat and food buying-consumption behavior, in English or Japanese version. Questionnaire researches to Japanese Americans lived in Sacramento and Los Angels Cities, as the northern and southern area of California State, were carried out. 27 and 24 questionnaire in both cities, respectively, were collected in the result. About questionnaire to Japanese American in Hawaii and Japanese in Japan the previous ones was reused. They were performed a statistical analysis by SPSS in order to compare dietary life of Japanese American in California with that of Japanese American in Hawaii and Japanese in Japan.Recently it was indicated that consumers make a great point of safety and being good for health in food intake. Besides. Some consumers tend to answer to questionnaire about not real but ideal dietary life or food buying-consumption behavior.As results, the facts were suggested that future Japanese dietary life will be constructed various staple foods, simple protein sources, especially meat intake. Therefore, it is very important to keep the diversity of protein sources, especially meat or fishes intakes and menu selection for healthy dietary life.
