项目摘要

本年度は、『短歌文芸あけぼの』の誌上において[日本図像解釈学研究]と題した小論文を二本、発表している。これは「名所図会」本における挿絵解釈方法をさらに深化させたもの(現在、図像解釈学=イコノロジー)といった観点にたった論考は多くあるものの、こと日本に於いてはその殆どが図像学=イコノグラフィーの視点に立つものであり、図像解釈学にまで踏み込んだものではないといえる)である。また、京都ホテルオークラ配布の『きょうと』誌上に於いて「近世京都人物志」のシリーズ(十景「伏見稲荷と伴蒿蹊」・十一景「伏見の桃と橘南谿」)を連載した。これは「名所図会」本が出版されたのと同時代もしくはそれ以降の、京都に深く関係した文人たちの交流について考察したものである。一方、「名所図会」本の今日的利用のひとつとして、現代では目にすることができなくなってしまった名所・祭礼・名物を復活させることが挙げられよう。このことについては「地域物産学研究会」を立ち上げ、その中のひとつ「団扇文化研究会」の成果として「深草うちは」の製作・考証・展示をおこなった。これは「名所図会」本の挿絵に彩色を施し、京丸団扇の流れのひとつである深草団扇に張り付けたもので、京都ホテルオークラのギャラリーにおいて展示した。歴史的資料の今日的利用の手法の成果として、他に例を見ない試みでありその意味において有意義な研究成果であるといえる。
