A study of Changing and Reorganizing Process of Industrial Education at the Closing Stage and of the after the World War II in Japan

The real state of industrial educatin in Japan during and after the Worle War II remains unclear. Fortunately, in National Archives of Japan, there are voluminous official documents on universities, colleges and schools. These documents consists of licences for founding, reorganizing and closing of these institutions, B. Documents on licenses of school regulations, C. Register ppers. In this study, these documents examined, together with other historical material and all the engineering, commercial and agricultural institutions which existed in Japan at the end of World War II are listed up. Among them, in this report, following two lists are picked up, 1. Technical institutions, 2. Commercial institutions.various materials collected by this grant-in-Aid are now analizing and will be published by three volumes of scientific books ; 1. Historical Study of the Development of Japanese Technical Education. 2. Historical Study of the Development of Japanese Commercial Education. 3. Historical Study of the Development of Japanese Agricultural Education.
