第一 清朝八旗戸口制度の成立八旗における戸口編審制度の成立について考察した。こうした戸口編審の成立については、八旗制度の成立と共に八旗戸口制度も同時に設立されたことを私なりの見解を示しておいた。そしてホン・タイジの天聡四年に戸口編審が法制化され、三年ごとにニル戸口の統計が行われたことを検討した。さらに、その実態についても具体的に追究した。そして、上で述べてきた戸口編審によって、作られた具体的な戸口冊について考察した。その結果、一ニルに所属された戸の数、総人口、そして家族構成を明らかにした。第二 旗人作品にみる旗人戦士の実態像まず、センシュが康煕二十一年に書いた『随軍紀行』を取り上げ、三藩の乱を平定しに行った旗人日記から、旗人の新年行事と家族への思いなどを分析して、人情に溢れた旗人像を提示した。つぎは、シベ駐防八旗のヘイェル・ヴェクジンが書いた『フイファン・カルンの手紙』を中心に、カルン換防兵が見えたカロンの状況、道中の風景、そしてフイファン・カルンの旗人生活などのことを詳しく解明した。最後に『ドンジナ見聞録』にみる旗人に関する記事を取り上げ、その実態を明らかにした。第三 黒龍江将軍衙門档案について-康煕二十三年から二十七年を中心に満洲語で書かれた黒龍江将軍衙門档案を、その概要から、文書の形式、内容の分析によって、文書行政のシステムを解明し、黒龍江地域社会の形成は駅伝・屯田地によって発展していくことを明らかにした。このほか『黒龍江将軍衙門档案』を中心にローマ字に転写して作業を進めてきたが、その日本語訳と索引を作成した。
