项目摘要

本研究は平成14年度から開始した。平成14年度と15年度には、合計三回の調査を、インドネシア国スラウェシ島北部州で行った。この地域はインドネシア語マナド方言が用いられている地域だが、元から住んでいた民族固有の言語もまだ残っている。調査の対象は主にサギル諸語に属するバンティック語とタラウド語の二言語である。これらの言語が話されている地域では、若い世代は主にインドネシア語マナド方言を用い、バンティック語やタラウド語を用いなくなっているため、これらの民族語は絶滅の危機に瀕している。本年度は、これらの調査の結果得られたデータを下に、精密な分析を行い、記述した。近隣の同系統の言語であるサギル語とラタハン語も考慮に入れて比較しつつ分析した。バンティック語に関しては、既に音声・音韻と形態論の記述が終了しているが、本年度はより正確な記述を試みた。音韻論においてはアクセント体系の見直しを行った。形態論においては接辞の体系を分かりやすくまとめ直し、それぞれの詳細な意味・機能を記述した。統語論に関しても既にほとんどの記述は終わっていたが、本年度は関係節を含む文や主題を含む文のように、複数の節からなる構文についての分析を行った。その他、テクストを採集したものをグロスと役をつけて整理し、統語論の考察に用いた。辞書の整備も行った。タラウド語に関しては音声と音韻の記述が既に終わっていたので、バンティック語との比較、他のサギル諸語との比較を試みた。タラウド語の特徴は、すべての音節が開音節だと解釈でき、すべての語が母音で終わることだが、語根のレベルでは子音で終わる可能性もある。形態論に関してはより詳細な記述を試みた。統語論に関しての分析を始め、テクストの整備を行った。
