项目摘要

コンパクトなリーマン多様体上のp-形式に作用するラプラシアンの固有値の持つ幾何学的情報を調べるために,リーマン多様体の崩壊におけるp-形式の固有値の振る舞いの研究を行ってきた.とりわけ,微分形式のラプラシアンに特有の現象として意味深い,小さい固有値と大きい固有値の存在に焦点を当てて研究を行ってきた.断面曲率が上下一様に抑えられている場合は既に分かっているので,断面曲率が下にのみ有界である場合を調べることが当面の目標である.昨年度,偶数次元球面の断面曲率が下にのみ有界である崩壊において,小さい固有値の存在を示し,それを用いた応用も得た.本年度の始めに,これら2つの結果の論文の改定を行い,2本とも論文として発表することができた.また,幾つかの研究集会で発表を行ったが,中でも,6月にロシアのサンクト・ペテルブルグで発表できたことは大変貴重な経験となった.これは私にとって初めての海外の研究会への参加で,自分自身の発表以外にも多くの研究者の講演や会話を通して非常に得る物が大きかったからである.本年度の新たな成果の一つは,大きい固有値の存在する非自明な崩壊の例を構成することが出来たことである.この崩壊はある特別な特異なリーマン沈めこみであるが,その重要な例として,球面の断面曲率が下にのみ有界で円板への崩壊がある.この例は,断面曲率が上下有界な場合の主張の拡張の手がかりになる反面,固有値の収束定理において新たな困難も示唆していると思われ,興味深い例であると考えている.また,ある状況下で,大きい固有値が存在するための必要条件を与えることもできた.第二の成果は,偶数次元球面以外の幾つかの崩壊の例において,小さい固有値の存在を示すことが出来た点である.曲率の条件を弱めると大きい固有値以上に多彩な存在例があることが分かり,固有値の幾何学を調べる上で今後も続けて行きたい研究である.
