本補助金を利用した研究により,神風乱(以下,「乱」と略記)をはじめとする不平士族反乱の直接的原因の一つに数えられてきた散髪令の重要性を浮き彫りにすることができた。散髪令は,これまでの風俗史的な興味から「文明開化」研究の一側面として取り上げられるに過ぎなかったが,この研究によって,近世から近代への移行期政治過程においても,近代社会成立期の民衆意識形成においても重大な意義を持つことが確認された。特に1871(明治)年8月9日太政官布告(いわゆる「散髪脱刀令」)を受けて,その後,各府県で発令される地方版散髪令を一つひとつ収集し,整理し,読み解いていくことによってその重要性を明らかにすることができた。その成果の一部は2002年3月発表の論文にまとめたが,今年度はこれを出発点として研究を進め,所属する大学の講義や集中講義(広島大学)において,その構想を練り上げてきた。その結果,(1)「散髪」をめぐる国家的対応の政治過程に関する論文,(2)地方版散髪令の総括的論文,(3)「散髪」状況と民衆運動・民衆意識との関連性についての論文,という3本の論文に必要な史料収集を終え,執筆の準備を整えた。これらの成果により,「乱」を初めとする不平士族反乱がより幅広い歴史的視野の中で位置付けられるようになり,「乱」と維新政権や民衆との関連性についても,より奥深い理解が可能になるであろう。今後は,これら3本の論文を早急に完成させることを第一の課題とするとともに,明治初期において,「散髪」と並んで,大き社会な問題となっていた「帯刀禁止」についての研究を推進していく予定である。「散髪」に関する史料収集過程においても,「帯刀禁止」に関わる史料にも目配りを行っており,こうした今後の取り組みにおいても,本補助金を利用して収集した資料群を有効に活用していきたいと考えている。

This grant is used to study the importance of anti-chaos (hereinafter referred to as "chaos") and the number of direct causes of anti-chaos. The study of the history of customs and civilization is of great significance in the political process of the transition period of modern times and the formation of popular consciousness in the founding period of modern society. In particular, on August 9, 1871(Meiji), the Imperial Government issued a decree stating the importance of the order. The first part of the paper was published in March 2002. This year, the paper was published in the university's lecture hall and concentrated lecture hall (Shidao University). The results are as follows: (1) Papers related to the political process of the state of "dispersion";(2) Papers related to the local edition of dispersion;(3) Papers related to the state of "dispersion" and the relationship between mass movement and mass consciousness;(4) Papers related to the collection of necessary historical materials; and (5) Papers related to the preparation of writing. The results of this kind of work are: "chaos"," In the future, this thesis will be completed as soon as possible. In the early Meiji period, the study of "Sanji" and "Daji Social Problems" will be carried out. "Dissemination" is related to the collection process of historical materials,"Prohibition" is related to the distribution of historical materials, and the use of this grant is related to the collection of historical data.
