项目摘要

本研究では、古英語散文の語順を決定する要因のひとつは動詞であると仮説を立て、それを文末焦点の原理および文末重点の原理に基づき検証した。状態・非状態動詞の分類を非状態動詞の分析に応用し、非状態動詞を含む節内にも動詞による語順の違いがあるかを調査・考察した。動詞の重さを表現するために動詞の情報量という考え方を導入し、Hopper and Thompson(1980)による他動性の理論を用いて語順分布状況を分析し、統計処理を施した。調査の結果、以下の点が明らかになった。(1)語順決定要因として動詞を調査する目的においては、本研究が採用した方法が先行研究の方法よりも有効である。(2)古英語散文においては動詞によって語順に差があり、その差は動詞の重さに関連して状態動詞・非状態動詞内に連続して存在する。また、動詞の他動性を構成する構成要素においても語順との関係が認められ、動詞の状態・非状態以外の性質も語順に影響を与えている。(3)助動詞と動詞の位置関係と動詞の情報量との間には因果関係がない。(4)資料によって使用される動詞の性質に違いがある。同時に、動詞の情報量と語順との関係は特定分野の資料に限られることなく、古英語散文に広く見られる。(5)統計はデータの質と量に適した方法を用いる必要がある。よって、動詞は古英語散文における語順決定要因のひとつであり、語順の多様性や変化を説明する手がかりとなると考えられる。

This study examines the key factors that determine the order of language in ancient English prose. The classification of state verbs and the analysis of non-state verbs are investigated. The information content of verbs is analyzed by Hopper and Thompson(1980). The results of the investigation are as follows: (1)This study adopts the method of antecedent study. (2)Old English Prose: Verb: Verb The relationship between the constituent elements of the verb's otherness and the relationship between the verb's state and non-state and the relationship between the verb's otherness and the relationship between the verb's state and non-state (3)Auxiliary verbs, verb position, verb information, verb causation. (4)The data is used in violation of the nature of the verb. At the same time, the amount of information of verbs and the relationship between language order and specific division of data are limited. (5)The quality and quantity of statistics are necessary. The order of the verb is determined by the reason of the diversification of the verb.
