1.国際環境保護法(International Law of the Environment)上の、伝統的又は台頭しつつある諸原則及び原理(例えば、1972年のストックホルム諸原則、1992年のリオ諸原則、並びに環境損害予防原則(Precautionary Principle))等を指す。)に対する、詳細な再検討をおこないつつ、それとの関連で、「(多辺的)国際制度」([Multilateral] International Institutions)又は「国際レジーム」(International Regimes)という国際法上の新たな分析的・実質的な法概念が、いかなる意義と特質を有するのか、という諸問題について、前年の成果を引き継ぎ、研究を遂行した。その際、実証研究上の「素材」として特に重要視した、個別のイシューとして挙げられるのは、いわゆるGlobal Atmosphereにかかる法規制を設ける、成層圏オゾン層の保護、及び地球温暖化のための国際慣習法規・多数国間国際条約(1987年の「モントリオール議定書」、1997年の「京都議定書」等を指す。)・関連の非拘束的な諸決議(SoftLaws)の実行である。加えて、国際環境保護法規にかかる理論的枠組みの特質は、先行する他の伝統的な国際法学領域に対する実証分析を通じても明らかとなることから、国際人権保障法、及び軍縮国際法の遵守確保の仕組み、国際人道法上の義務の性格等も、あわせて、検討した。2.なお、項目11「研究発表」の記載には間に合わなかったが、特に英文論文により、研究成果を複数、1-2年以内に公表する予定である。
