人口動態を表す「分枝過程」や突然変異を伴う遺伝子集団の異なる遺伝タイプの出現頻度を表す「Fleming-Viot過程」などの確率過程は「測度値確率過程」と呼ばれ、一般に、時間と共にランダムに変化する、ある対象の集団の広がり具合(分布)を表す。これらについてまだ知られていない新しい性質の発見や、さらに新しいモデルの構成、それらの性質についての研究を目的としてきた。昨年度からの研究で、粒子系の個々の運動として、安定過程と呼ばれるものを導入したときに、粒子系として、さらにはその極限として得られる、上で述べた測度値確率過程に対する、見本関数の性質を調べていた。その際、当然、元となる安定過程の詳しい性質が必要となる。これに関して、密度関数の遠方での減少の度合いについての結果を得ていた。今年度はこの結果をさらに精密化することに成功し、11月の統計数理研究所の研究会、及び、12月の慶応での研究会で発表した。この結果をその上の測度値確率過程に応用することにより、新たな性質の発見につながると期待される。これらの結果は、与えられた当該研究費を用いて、購入した関連文献、および出張して他の研究者との議論等ができたことによる寄与が大きい。さらにコンピューター、ソフト、プロジェクター等により、効果的な発表を行うことが出来た。上の結果をまとめた論文は既に学術雑誌に受理され、現在、その先についても研究中である。
