项目摘要

本年度は,平成13年度の研究成果を用いて,日本の委任統治時代の南洋群島において,日本人によって建設された建築物に用いられた室内環境調整手法を歴史的な観点から明らかにするとともに,気候風土や人々のライフスタイルとの関係を明らかにすることを目的として,研究を進めた。本年度の実績の概要は,以下の通りである。1)現地調査科研費によるもの以外も含めて,北マリアナ諸島,パラオ共和国,ミクロネシア連邦ヤップ州において現地調査を行った。日本委任統治時代の建築物の遺構について,できる限り実測調査を行うことに努めた。特に,パラオ共和国コロールでは,旧南洋群島に残る鉄筋コンクリート造建築物のうちでも,規模の大きな建築物について実測調査を行うことができ,平面図や立面図を作成した。2)旧南洋群島における建築物に用いられていた室内環境手法について現地調査や文献調査などにより,旧南洋群島では,国内よりも床高を高くしていたと推測された。調査門始以前には,日射を遮蔽するために大きな庇を取り付けていたであろうと予想していたが,特に官舎や社宅では,日本の庇と同規模,もしくは小さなものしか取り付けられていなかった。これらの理由などの他,今後の課題は数多く残っている。3)人々のライフスタイル旧南洋群島を対象として当時書かれた小説や,写真資料の収集に努め,当時の人々のライフスタイルについて検討した。しかし,旧南洋群島における資料は散逸の度合いが激しく,国内の他分野の研究者と連絡を取りつつ,今後も収集に一層力を入れる必要がある。2年間に渡る本研究によって,日本の委任統治時代の南洋群島の建築活動に関する研究が開始され,数多くの基礎資料の定着を図ることができた。しかし研究すべき課題は数多く残っており,今後も鋭意研究を進めていきたい。

In the past, the data of the old Southeast Asian Islands have been scattered and merged. In the future, it is necessary to contact researchers in other fields in China and collect a layer of strength. During the past two years, this study has been conducted on the construction activities of the Southeast Asian Islands in the era of Japanese mandate administration, and several basic data have been established. The number of research topics has been reduced, and the future research is determined.
