We had 22 workshops and conferences from June 2002 to March 2005. One of them was an international workshop, in which some foreign lectures and observers attended.The minutes of workshop "Patent system and bioethics", which was held in August 2002, was printed on The Hokkaido Law Review Vol.54 May 2003 No.2. The minutes of "Human dignity, ethical and legal positioning of human bodies and lives", which was held in June 2003, was printed on The Hokkaido Law Review Vol.54 February 2004 No.6. The other minutes of workshops are bound as "JINRIN works".Each investigator attended a lot of related academic conferences and workshops in and out of Japan and collected information about our issue.We had "Sapporo Cool Seminar" in July and August 2003 and discussed our achievement at the time and made improvement. We made presentations about major part of our achievement in the 15^<th> conference of Japan Association for Bioethics on November 2003 in Tokyo.We published JINRIN News Letter every month from April 2003 to May 2004 to discuss a lot of points about our issue. We also run JINRIN mailing list through internet. Those two medium gave chances to discuss a lot of points about the issue and change important information and opinions among bioethics academics.We collected original materials of related acts, regulations and reports in and out of Japan including translation to construct a database. We put the database on internet.
