An analysis of modern Confucian reformation movement in Korea should clarify the influences of the Western Impact, China and Japan as well as the reason why that movement became religious. This paper, thus, tries to make dear (1) the characteristics of traditional Korean Confucianism based on the moral philosophy (心学) from 李退溪 to 丁若〓, (2) the process of Korean Confucianism's reformation movement done by 朴殷植・李炳憲・崔南善.It was the most important problem for east asian countries such as China, Korea and Japan to create the ‘modern identity' in order to counter the Western military and philosophical invasion. It was obviously an intellectual action proper to call 'modern thought'. The development of 'modern thought' in Korea made it possible to create the ‘modern identity' based on regeneration of a tradition of Korean moral philosophy rooted in 李退溪 It was essential for Korean society to change the traditional Confucianism to be more religious in order to survive a rapid modernization and terrible invasion from the Western countries and Japan.

对朝鲜近代儒学改革运动的分析，应厘清西方影响、中国和日本的影响，以及儒学改革运动宗教化的原因。本文试图揭示(1)基于道德哲学(心学)从李退溪到丁若〓的韩国传统儒学的特征；(2)朴殷植·李炳憲·崔南善的韩国儒学改革运动的过程。这是中国、韩国和日本等东亚国家为对抗西方军事和哲学入侵而建立的“现代身份”所面临的最重要问题。显然，这是一种理所当然的智力行为，可以称之为“现代思想”。“现代思想”在韩国的发展使人们有可能在复兴植根于李退溪的韩国道德哲学传统的基础上创造“现代身份”。韩国社会必须改变传统的儒家思想，使之更具宗教性，才能在快速的现代化和来自西方国家和日本的可怕入侵中生存下来。
