(1)前年度に開発した,次元縮約型多変量自己回帰モデルに基づく市場リスク中立型株式売買法について,より現実的な状況下でシミュレーションを行った.具体的には規模と業種に関する制約を置いて運用した場合のリスク・リターン特性を明らかにした.成果は国際会議で発表され,Computational Finance and Its Applicationsに掲載された.(2)利付債の取引データから金利期間構造を推定する問題に即して、関数データ解析的接近法による動的なイールドカーブの推定法を提案した。具体的には,経時的に取得した債権データに高次元の平滑化を適用することで割引関数の局面推定を行い、その積分型で金利期間構造を経時方向に連関させる方法を提案し,その予測能力を研究した.成果は国際会議で発表され,Proceedings in Computational Statisticsに掲載された.(3)多変量時系列に対し,トレンド成分は各成分個別でトレンド周りの定常変動が共通となるモデルを状態空間モデルの枠組みで推定する方法を提案し,インフレ率予測の問題に適用した.これによって,物価変動に対して先行性を持つ時系列を客観的に探し出すことが可能となった.成果は「日本経済の変化と経済予測」の第3章として公表された.(4)状態空間モデル型季節調整法において,季節成分を表す時系列モデルの特性多項式の一部について単位根制約を緩め,情報量規準に基づき,より予測性の高いモデルを探索的に求める方法を提案した.各国の鉱工業生産指数を例に取った解析で,アウトサンプル予測が改善することが示された.成果はJournal of Forecastingに掲載された.

Chapter 3 of "Prediction of Japan's Economic and Social Development" (4)A method for solving the problem of seasonal adjustment in state space is proposed, in which seasonal components are expressed in time series, and a part of the characteristic polynomial of the state space is determined by a single root constraint, an information quantity criterion, a base constraint, and a prediction criterion. For example, the analysis of industrial production index of each country shows that the forecast of industrial production index has improved. The results were published in Journal of Forecasting.
