アメリカ国立公文書館所蔵のアメリカ国務省関係文書のほか、国内外のさまざまな関連資料を収集し、それらの解読・分析を行った。その成果は、下記の国内外での研究発表および論文(11欄参照)にまとめられている。・「戦後日本紡績業の復興・発展・衰退-日米繊維摩擦の考察を中心に」、シンポジウム「高度経済成長の韓日比較研究」、2004年5月8日、於ソウル大学、South Korea.・Junko Watanabe,"Pourquoi et comment des "politiques de regulation industrielle" sont-elles mises en place : le cas de l'industrie textile, aux Etats-Unis, au Japon et en Europe : Une approche historique et comparative des enjeux lies a la strategie de restructuration des industries en declin.",le17 mars 2005,l'Universitede Paris VII, France・「日米繊維摩擦に関する一考察」経営史学会関西部会、2004年11月27日、於京都大学本研究においては、以下の点が明らかにされた。(1)1950年代後半〜70年代前半の日米繊維摩擦を一つの重要な契機として、繊維品貿易においてGATTの例外規定(STA、LTA、MFA)が設けられるようになった。(2)アメリカでは、(1)の動きと対をなす形で、繊維産業において、産業調整援助政策が導入された。(3)(2)の動きは各国に波及し、繊維品貿易の国際的ルールおよび国内での産業調整の制度化が行われた。

",le17 mars 2005, l'Universitede Paris VII, France·" A survey of Japanese and American friction ", History Association Seki Nishiki Association, November 27, 2004, Kyoto University, this research, the following points are clear. (1) From the second half of the 1950s to the first half of the 1970s, there was an important opportunity for the development of diplomatic friction and trade in military goods. Exceptions to the GATT (STA, LTA, MFA) were set up. (2)(1) The introduction of industrial restructuring assistance policies. (3)(2) The movement of foreign countries to affect the international trade of vitamin products and the institutionalization of domestic industrial adjustment.
