项目摘要

本年度は本研究期間最終年度であったので、研究成果の集約・発表を念頭に置いた活動を目的としていたが、予定以上に研究成果発表の場を持てたおかげで充実したものとなった。まず第一に、「黒人研究の会」という学会が創立50周年記念論文集『黒人研究の世界』を出版し、そのなかのカリブセクションに論文発表をすることができた。当論文集は「アメリカ」「アフリカ」「カリブ」という本研究課題と問題系を同じくする三つのセクションから成っているの。そのなかの私の論文「痕跡と再帰性-カリブ海と歴史をめぐって」では、カリブ海の歴史を介して文化的にもたらされた認識(従来のパラダイムと断絶した認識)およびそれを可能にする修辞を中心に考察し、本研究から生まれた結果としてのひとつの見解を提示している。次に、本年度11月3日から5日までUSヴァージン諸島にて開催されたICCL(国際カリブ文学会議)なる国際学会に参加し、発表する機会を得ることができた。当研究発表では、同じポストコロニアル状況下における社会と修辞法との関係をカリブ文学とアイルランド文学とを比較することによって比較検討した。元来アイルランド語という起源を示唆する手段を持つアイルランド文学における民族アイデンティティの一枚岩的措提にたいし、アフリカからの奴隷強制移送の過程で失われた起源を「記憶喪失」として受容するカリブ文化の可能性を提示し、そこで取り交わされる修辞法の相違を発表し、世界各国から集まった研究者たちと有益な議論を交わすことができた。その際、前年度まで日本研究で収集した資料が実証的根拠として利用された。11月の国際学会発表での議論の成果をさらに検討し、12月には国内の「多民族研究学会」にて、カリブ海社会と修辞法との関係を研究発表した。本発表は、11月の国際学会での発表に比べより理論的で、現代思想の知見などをも積極的に参照したものであり、ジル・ドゥルーズによるFigure(形体)/figural(比ゆ的)との相違をカリブ文化において適用し、資料の実証性と理論的可能性との一致を証明した。

This year is the last year of the study period, and the results of the intensive research are set in the middle of the activity.
