本研究の目的は、規制主体側の要因により、銀行規制が非効率になること(具体的には、規制が過剰になること)を示し、預金市場の市場規律によりその非効率性を解消できるかどうかを考察することである。本年度は、預金市場の市場規律を研究した。預金市場の市場規律の一例として、銀行取付がある。銀行取付による規律付けを分析した研究では、預金保険について否定的な意見がある。本研究では、預金保険が存在するときのほうが、銀行経営者のインセンティブを社会的に望ましい方向に改善する状況があることを示した。研究成果は「預金保険と銀行経営者のインセンティブ」という題名で論文にまとめ、11月に生活経済学会九州部会と一橋大学の研究会で報告した。その後修正し、『生活経済学研究』に投稿した。2月に編集委員会より一部修正し再審査するとの連絡があり、修正してから再度投稿した。銀行監督者が自己の名声を重視すると、銀行監督が過剰になるという可能性についての研究成果は、昨年度「銀行閉鎖政策の失敗と過剰な銀行監督」という題名で論文にまとめ『金融経済研究』に投稿した。編集委員会からのレフェリーコメントが、12月に届いた。そのコメントをもとに修正し、「銀行監督者の名声重視のもとでの銀行閉鎖政策と銀行監督」という題名で論文にまとめ、1月の一橋大学金融研究会と2月の西日本理論経済学会で報告した。コメントをもとに論文を修正し、3月末を目途に『金融経済研究』に再投稿する予定である。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the main causes of regulation, the non-efficiency of bank regulation and the market rules of deposit market.
