研究実績としては、盲人職業音楽家が属していた当道組織の構造を明らかにすることが出来た。これに関する「系譜」「伝承」および「家元制度」について考察した内容を2003年10月の米国Florida州で行われたThe Society for Ethnomusicologyで発表した。盲人職業音楽家に伝承されていた諧謔性のある作品(地歌作物)作法の研究、特に歌詞と曲の構造、すなわち、地歌三弦の調弦と転調法との関係の研究を進めて、2004年の2月Kyoto Stanford Centerで発表して、この発表の結果に関して論文を書くことに決定し、5月末までには出来上がり、Harvard Journal of Asiatic Studies、又はAsian Musicの機関誌に提出する予定である。以上の研究の外に、江戸時代での盲人職業音楽家の社会的位置を把握する研究で、当時の文献を収集し、解読しつつある。参考する資料は江戸期の川柳集、洒落本、滑稽本、俳句俳文集のような"笑い"に富んでいる文学、および日本人研究者による先行研究「江戸時代におりる盲人社会史、江戸時代における被差別研究」である.この研究の結果は2004年7月オーストラリアMelbourneで行うSymposium of the International『Musicological Societyで発表することになった。また、詳細な解説付き作物全集CDをビクター伝統文化振興財団のもとに作成準備中である。
