项目摘要

本研究の目的は、参加型森林管理の成功例として様々な側面から研究されてきたインドのJoint Forest Management(以下、JFM)を基準として用いて、アジア諸国の比較研究を実施することによって次の諸点を明らかにすることであった。1.アジア諸国における参加型森林管理の制度的・政策的な特徴の解明。2.アジア諸国における参加型森林管理の実施に関わるステークホルダーの役割および特徴の解明。3.参加型森林管理に関する議論がコモンズ論に果たす理論的貢献の検討。前年度までの研究によって,タイ,ラオス,フィリピン,インドを訪問して主な情報収集は終了したので、本年度は研究成果をまとめて投稿論文等の原稿を複数作成した。また,8月に外国人特別研究員(バローニー氏)をオーストラリアのブリスベンで開催された国際森林学会(IUFRO)に出張させ、研究成果の一部を下記の題名にてポスター発表を行った。BALOONI, K., INOUE, M., "Private woodlots on forest and non-forestland : a review of the individual approach to participatory forestry in South Asia". Poster presentation at the XXII IUFRO World Congress to be held in Brsibane, Austalia during 6-14 August 2005.

The purpose of this study is to study the success of participatory forest management(JFM) and to establish benchmarks for its application. 1. Explanation of the characteristics of participatory forest management systems and policies in different countries. 2. Explanation of the characteristics of participatory forest management in China 3. Discussion on the contribution of participatory forest management theory Previous year's research was completed, and this year's research results were submitted. In August, the International Forestry Association (IUFRO) launched a special research project to promote the development of a part of the research results.
