项目摘要

三年度目となる本年度は、主に研究の総合をおこない、具体的にはこれまでと同じく第一に江戸前期における性愛・資本・家の編成のあり方の考察、第二に従来の国民国家的秩序からはとらえがたい現代の社会性の布置の把握という二方面から研究は実行された。第一の研究では前年度より継続して、近世期に出現する遊郭に集積する遊女の存在形態がとくに焦点として扱われた。これは遊女という商品の出現が、貨幣の大量の浸蝕を受けた日本社会の大きな変容をもっともよく表現したものとかんがえられるためである。研究はここから近世後期日本社会における「世界」との遭遇を分析する試みに現在、向けられている。一年度目に発表した元禄前後時代の貨幣の改鋳を巡った分析と合わせ、こうした近世社会の研究は、近日中に総合して発表される予定である。第二の現在性の分析は、まず2000年に世田谷で発生した一家殺害事件を分析する「東京の事件学」と題する論文を発表した。この事件を通してみえてきたのは、、家族の同一性を消費社会のなかに溶解させることで都市・東京がさまざまな不安を発生させていることである。また本年度は、研究の総合的なまとめとして、昨年度に発表したネット自殺についての論文を改稿した論考「浄化された死、あるいは情報の海」を含み、また序文を執筆した『未明からの思考』という書物を有志とともに出版した。これはこれまでの研究の結果、社会学の以前の枠組みではとらえることの困難な現代社会の姿を明らかにすることの意義を痛感し、そうした問題意識を具体化しようとした試みの結実である。
