项目摘要

本研究の対象は、世界各地から報告されている頼母子講という資源交換組織である。日本国内で頼母子講が活発な地域のひとつは沖縄であり、沖縄では頼母子講を「模合」とよぶ。本研究の目的は、(1)庶民が歴史的に培ってきた相互協力誘発メカニズム、(2)資源交換と共同体生成との関連、という2点を解明することである。本年度は沖縄県にて社会調査を実施した。理論的に興味深い事例について面接調査を複数回にわたり実施し、さらに関連資料の収集を行った。知見の概要は以下の2点に集約できる。1.理論的観点からは、資源交換による相互協力を行うためにはフリー・ライダーの発生を防ぐことが必要となる。頼母子講では、面識関係による参加者選抜がフリー・ライダーの発生を防いでいる。さらに、選抜された参加者のあいだでは柔軟な協力行動が可能になっている。一方、頼母子講では、参加者が対面する会合により資源を交換するが、その会合が面識関係を強化できる場になる。以上は、面識関係により頼母子講を行うことが可能になるが、ひるがえって頼母子講を行うことが面識関係の強化になるプロセスが存在しうることを示している。このようなプロセスにより、相互協力が誘発され、共同体生成(面識関係の強化)を実現していると考えられる。2.沖縄の頼母子講に関係する歴史民俗資料や新聞記事、さらに世界各地の頼母子講に関する報告を分析した。これらと本研究の知見を照合したところ、本研究で分析した事例に限らず、かなりの頼母子講で面識関係による参加者選抜が行われていることを見出した。

The purpose of this study is to report reports around the world. Mother and son are involved in the organization of resource communication.
