平成17年度は,平成16年度に引き続いて,コンフリクトに直面した当事者の選択に関するゲーム実験を実施し,当事者が「ボタンの掛け違え」を回避するために重要な要素を特定することを試みた.具体的には,16年度の実験で提示した情報の内容を(1)戦略的相互作用の認識,(2)ゲーム形の認識,(3)自分の利得の認識,の3つに細分化し,どの要素が選択の変化に対して影響を与えているかを調査した.その結果,当事者が行動を調整する必要のあるコンフリクトの場合,主として戦略的相互作用の認識と,自身の利得の認識によって全く譲歩しない行動が抑制され,当事者間に譲歩の機運が生じた.また,政策課題に対する代替案の可否を巡るコンフリクトにおいては,生成されるゲーム形は,ナッシュ均衡戦略プロファイルが協調的帰結をもたらすものと,対立的帰結をもたらすものの2種類に分類された.協調的帰結をもたらすゲーム形においては,戦略的相互作用の認識によって,ナッシュ均衡に到達する参加者組が増加した.一方対立的帰結をもたらすゲーム形においては,戦略的相互作用の認識は,一部の参加者を,ナッシュ均衡戦略プロファイルとは異なる帰結へ誘導する効果を有していると考えられる.実験によって得られた以上のような知見は,当事者が「ボタンの掛け違え」を回避するためにはコンフリクトの構図を十分に把握する必要があること,従来のゲーム理論的モデルは,人々がコンフリクトを把握する際のモデルとは必ずしも一致しておらず,改善が必要なことを示している.そこで,コンフリクトを記述するモデルとして「関心事-帰結モデル」を提案するとともに,このモデルに基づいた「コンフリクト特性分析システム」を試作した.これは,現実の斡旋・調停において,仲介者が当事者たちが置かれている立場を整理・構造化して示すことを支援することを目的としている.
