今年度はまず、山科家主従の「たて花」(立花)活動を再検討した。家礼層から吸収した文化事象を公家が禁裏に持ち込み、やがて家礼層自身が参入し、その後市井の専門家が奉仕する基盤を形成し、新しい文化事象が禁裏に定着化するという図式の中でたて花は展開していった。こうした活動は乱後の禁裏の新しい特質であり、新しく勃興する文化事象を吸収する構造であった。ついで、戦国期の法華八講に関して検討した。応仁・文明の乱後、天皇家の先祖供養儀式としての法華八講は規模を縮小して強行開催されたが、これは側近の公家と天皇によって推し進められ、「先例」を創出して国家的祭儀に位置づけようとする指向性を持っていたが、摂関家や外様公家は「先例」に違うと認識していたことが解明されてきた。さらに、禅師号授与の問題についても検討した。禅師号は天皇が室町殿の意向に基づいて授与していたが、応仁・文明の乱前後から、禅僧個人が公家などとコンダクトをとって授与をもとめたり、地方の大名が公家勢力に授与の斡旋をもとめるようになる。朝廷も室町殿の意向に左右されず授与しており、戦国期において、宗教勢力が天皇と直接的なコンタクトをとり、自らの権威を飾り立てることに用いるようになってくることが明らかにされた。包丁道の調査に関しては、生間流資料群の読解をすすめるとともに、慶應義塾大学魚菜文庫の四条流資料群や東京家政学院大学所蔵の包丁道史料の調査を行った。その結果、包丁道諸派の伝書群には、朝鮮通信使の供応献立・包丁式や儀式のための料理の飾伝書・小笠原流の礼式伝書の三つが必ず含まれていたことがわかってきた。さらに、武家に主眼をおく流派と公家に主眼をおく流派の相違があり、包丁道という芸能は単一的な系統をたどっておらず、複数の文化要素を混合して形成・発展していったことも推察できた。
