Zielsetzung der angestrebten Untersuchungen ist die Erfassung der Mesozooplanktongemeinschaften, insbesondere der calanoiden Copepoden, im Golf von Aqaba und im nördlichen Roten Meer. Die Ergebnisse sollen Aufschluß geben über räumliche und zeitliche Dynamik im Untersuchungsgebiet und in synoptischer Zusammenarbeit des interdisziplinären METEOR-Projektes veröffentlicht werden.
