本研究の柱は、(1)守護論、(2)鎌倉幕府論、(3)荘園公領制論、の3つである。以下、研究計画に則しながら、今年度の成果について述べる。論文「摂津国長洲荘悪党と公武寺社」は、新出の「宝珠院文書」所収史料をもとに、荘域の枠をこえた鎌倉末期「悪党」のヨコの連携や、公武寺社勢力との複線的な従属関係などを抽出し、当該期の政治・社会状況全般にかかわるいくつかの論点を提示した。なかでも今回、注目した異色の「悪党」平野将監入道は、楠木正成はおろか、赤松円心とも縁故を有していた形跡があり、正成・円心とならび、鎌倉末期の時代相を体現する人物である。研究計画とのかかわりからいえば、本稿は、(1)(2)(3)にまたがる諸問題を総合的に論じた成果といえる。論文「守護代・使節・検断沙汰」では、摂津国守護職が六波羅探題兼帯にいたる経緯や、鎌倉末期の悪党追捕における幕府の命令系統、六波羅の検断沙汰手続きなど、「宝珠院文書」から知られる鎌倉幕府の制度に関する新事実を分析、紹介し、(1)(2)を展開するための新材料を提示した。ともに、平成17年度の科研報告書(平成15〜17年度科学研究費補助金(基盤研究(B)(2))研究成果報告書『中世寺院における内部集団史料の調査・研究』代表者・勝山清次)に掲載された論文に、今回新たな知見を加えて全面的に改稿し、また、筆者が校訂した一連の新史料「摂津国長洲荘悪党関係史料」の翻刻を付し、刊行されるものである。
