项目摘要

本年度は、昨年度までの研究をもとに、南北朝隋唐時代における礼学・礼制の研究を行った。当時の礼学・礼制上の議論において、大きな論点となったものが、礼制建築である。本年度は、礼制建築の問題を重点的に研究し、特に、当時の礼制建築をめぐる主要な論点の一つであった明堂に関する諸文献の読解、並びに中国及び日本に残されている諸資料の調査を行った。明堂についての学説を明解に示すものが、明堂の図である。今日残る明堂の図の中で、最も古いとされるものは、北宋の聶崇義『三礼図』所載の明堂図である。しかし、本年度における調査の結果、京都府の石清水八幡宮に所蔵される『異朝明堂指図記』(藤原通憲「王宮正堂正寝勘文」)に引用されている礼図のうち、『周室王城明堂宗廟図』から引用された明堂図は、『階書』経籍志に載せる祁〓撰の『周室王城明堂宗廟図』からの引用と考えられることを指摘した。『周室王城明堂宗廟図』は聶崇義『三礼図』以前の礼図であり、この図は今日失われた古い明堂の図を伝える貴重な資料と考えられる。また、『異朝明堂指図記』に引用される別の礼図「周室王城宗廟明堂宮室図所載図」も、同様に祁〓撰の『周室王城明堂宗廟図』から引用されたものと考えられる。そこで、その二つの礼図について、経学的な観点から考察を加えた結果、「周室王城宗廟明堂宮室図所載図」については唐の『毛詩正義』等に見られる解釈とは大きく異なっていることから、それ以前の学説を反映している可能性が考えられることを指摘した。また、財団法人水府明徳会所蔵の『異朝明堂指図説』は、石清水八幡宮所蔵『異朝明堂指図記』を江戸時代前期に写したものであることを明らかにした。このほか、『異朝明堂指図記』の史料的価値を明らかにするため、その論旨と歴史的背景について考証を行った。これらの研究結果は、「藤原通憲『王宮正堂正寝勘文』とその礼図について」において発表する。
