本年度の研究において中心的に行ったのは、戦後から現在に至るまでの音楽産業の展開について、著作権制度との関連を念頭において調査分析することである。この点に関して、日本ポピュラー音楽学会第十七回大会にて、「『レンタル・レコード問題』の再検討:音楽著作権制度と消費者による複製」と題した報告を行った。文化産業の現在的な在り方を考察するにあたり、消費者による複製行為と、それを容易に可能にするメディア・テクノロジーの出現と広がりという点が重要である。この報告では、レンタル・レコードとカセット・テープによる音楽の私的な複製をその先駆として位置づけ、レンタル・レコード業が「合法化」されるプロセスを分析した。その上で、(1)レンタル・レコードを非難する/擁護するレトリック、論理の構成は、近年のファイル交換技術やリッピングに対するものと非常に似通っていること、(2)近年焦点となっているテクノロジーをめぐる問題の「新しさ」は、テクノロジーそれ自体の新しさというよりは、消費者をどのような主体として捕捉するかという点と関わっていること、を指摘した。また、前年度に引き続き、理論的な枠組を発展させることも行った。本研究が具体的な対象とする音楽産業もその一部であるとされている「文化産業」という社会学的な概念についての再検討が中心である。先行研究がこの概念によっていかなる問題を可視化させようとしてきたのか、そして現在この概念が有意義なものとなるとすれば、それはどのような意味においてであるのか、このような点に関して、具体的な調査研究とのフィードバックを通じて継続的に検討を行っている。これに加え、初期の音楽産業の形成過程を探るために、京都市立芸術大学に所蔵されている戦前のレコード小売業の業界誌などの資料調査を行った。これを分析することは今後の課題である。

This year's research focuses on research and analysis of the development of the music industry, the creation of systems and the relationship between them. The 17th Conference of the Japanese Music Society was held on the topic of "Re-examination of the music production system and consumer reproduction." The consumer's main body is captured. Also, the previous year's introduction and theoretical development were launched today. This study focuses on the specific aspects of the music industry, including the concept of "cultural industry" and the concept of sociology. The concept of the concept of the A survey was conducted to explore the formation process of the music industry in the early stages of development, and to investigate the data of the industry journal of the small market developed by Kyoto Municipal University of Literature. This is the first time that I've ever been involved.
