项目摘要

二年目であり最終年度でもある今年度は、前年度の成果も踏まえ、引き続き上記研究課題、より具体的には、1774年のキュチュク・カイナルジャ条約以降の、オスマン帝国に従属するワラキア・モルドヴァ両公国の国際問題化の過程について、主にオスマン帝国とロシア帝国の一時史料に基づいて分析を進めた。オスマン側史料に関しては、今年度もイスタンブルの大統領府オスマン古文書館において関係する史料の収集を行い、昨年度一部収集したオスマン帝国と諸外国との外交関係に関する情報を含む『諸外国台帳(duvel-i ecnebiye defterleri)』等の調査を継続した他、新たに文書群(evrak)中の、当研究課題に関連する史料の収集をも行うことが出来た。一方ロシア側史料に関しては、スラヴ関係文献を多数所蔵する北海道大学における調査の結果、多くの刊行史料と研究文献を得ることが出来、またヨーロッパ側史料についても、対ロシア関係を中心に、一定数の文献を収集することが出来た。こうした史料群の分析の結果、1.ワラキア・モルドヴァに関する問題は、18世紀末までは主にロシア・オスマン帝国・ハプスブルグ帝国の三帝国間の問題であったが、それ以降はフランスやイギリスなど他の西欧諸国も大きな関心を示し、多国間問題へとなっていったこと、2.ドナウ以南のオスマン帝国領ルメリにおける混乱が、その北側のワラキアに関する問題にも大いに関係していること、3.19世紀に入ると両公国問題が、オスマン帝国をめぐるフランス・ロシアの綱引きの中で重要な位置を占めていたこと、などが明らかにされた。
