本年度は,フィンランド語学術計算機センターのフィンランド語電子アーカイブ「フィンランド語バンク」の新聞・雑誌記事データを用いて収集した動詞派生の名詞の用例の採否の検証作業を継続して行うとともに,関係データベースを用いた用例の最終的なデータベース化をおこなった。特に,本年度はメタデータの付加作業を進め,動詞派生の名詞の形態論的,統語論的な出現環境に加え,動詞派生の名詞の修飾要素に関する情報,さらに当該名詞句の出現する情報構造について,メタデータの情報を複合的に用いた分析を可能とする用例データベースを構築することができた。その後,構築したデータベースを用いて用例の粗分析をおこない,動名詞と他の(動名詞よりも生産性の低い)動詞派生の名詞との比較の結果,以下のような知見を得,口頭発表を行った。1.他動詞派生の動名詞は目的語に対応する修飾要素を伴って出現する傾向がある2.動名詞は節内で文法格および入格をとり現れることが多いが,目的語としては現れにくい3.動名詞句は節の最初(ないし動詞の直前)の構成素を形成する傾向がある4.動名詞句によって,文脈上前後のつながりのある内容が多く述べられる5.動名詞の格形の分布はほぼ共通であり,単語による偏り(語彙化)がほとんど見られない語彙的な偏りを示さない動名詞と比較して,他の動詞派生の名詞は形態論的生産性が低いだけでなく,個々の派生語によって出現環境のパラメータにゆれが現れる。このことは,形態論的な生産性の指標として,コーパスの提供する量的情報と併せた統語的な分布の分析が有効である可能性を示唆すると思われる。また,用例データをXMLに準拠した構造化手法で記述・分析する可能性について,本年度さらに検討をすすめた。近日中に,本年度行った口頭発表の内容に基づき,雑誌論文を発表する予定である。
