今年度は西周時代の墓葬に関する発掘報告書を利用して、西周時代の墓葬のデータ整理、出土青銅器の形体的分析、銘文の解読作業を進めた。これらの資料は膨大である為、今年度中に作業の完成を見なかったが、次年度以降、これらをどのように活用し、いかなる視点から本研究課題である西周王朝の支配構造を議論していくのかという問題に対して、これよりやや時代の下る春秋戦国時代の中国西南地域に分布した石棺墓をとりあげ、その具体的方法を模索した。石棺墓の中で注目すべきは、1992年に岷江上流の四川省茂県で発見された、戦国後期とされる牟托一号石棺墓である。同墓は、陪葬坑を伴い、多数の有銘青銅礼楽器が出土した点で、他の石棺墓の出土状況とは大きく異なり、石棺墓とその文化を考える上で大いに注目されている。この牟托一号石棺墓出土の青銅礼楽器を分析した結果、同墓が漢代にゼンボウと呼ばれた部族の君長レベルの人物のものであること、そこから出土した青銅礼楽器は楚から伝来したものであること、さらにその背景には、巴・蜀・楚の交渉、春秋中後期〜戦国前期における楚の対外への勢力拡大政策と王権強化を目的とした辺地徙民政策があったことがわかった。これは、戦国後期の岷江上流域における楚系青銅器の伝播と受容、即ち一地方における楚系文化の伝播と受容の在り方を示すものである。注目すべきは、中原文化との交流を通して生じた楚系文化という一つの地域文化が、さらにその周辺へ広がったという事実であり、そこには、岷江上流域にいた冉?が、楚系文化を通じて中原文化を受容したという二重の地域性が看取される。この中原文化受容における二重の地域性という問題は、西周代においても、周王朝の諸侯封建を通じて、地域文化が周文化を受容していく過程を分析する上で重要な示唆を与えるものであり、それを解明することが西周王朝の支配構造を明らかにする上で不可欠であると考えられる。
