项目摘要

本年度は、昨年度に行ったフィールドワーク(在上海の某日中合弁会社)において収集したデータのさらなる分析を作年度とは違う角度から行い、異文化間コンフリクト現象はコンフリクトに従事する当事者が文化の共有と非共有の意味をどう構築するかによって左右されることを明らかにした(「多国籍企業における『異文化間コンフリクト』の位置づけに関する考察-文化の共有・非共有の意味構築に関連して-」参照)。また、さらなる分析を行うに当たり、代表研究者が以前1999年に行った当該合弁会社におけるフィールドワークにおいて得たデータと今回の研究のために2004年に行ったフィールドワークにおいて得たデータを比較研究した。これによって、当該合弁会社が1999年から2004年までの5年間の間に、異文化間コミュニティーとして多大な変貌を遂げたこと、その要因として、中国社会そのものの変化を背景とした日本人駐在員と中国人社員との関係の変化があることを明らかとした(「ある日中会社合弁会社におけるローカル・スタンダードの構築-コミュニケーション、評価と待遇、メンバーシップのあり方に関する一考察」参照)。加えて、今回の研究の成果を多国籍企業内における異文化チームの効果的な運営に応用的に活用するための方法論を研究するために、2004年7月に米国ポートランドで開催されたSummer Institute of Intercultural Communicationに参加した。以下、学会発表した研究題目の一部である。・帰属文化の枠組みからプロフェッショナル・コミュニティーの枠組みへ-ある日中合弁会社における異文化間コミュニケーションに関する意識の変化(関西大学6月)・Interactive Development of Linguistic Errors: Repair as Task-Oriented Negotiation between Native and Non-Native Speakers (米国シカゴ11月)
