This research focuses on the mixture of unpaid work and paid work accompanying the development of the socialization of everyday life and is intended to contribute to clarifying the actual state of "new housework labor" and developing new methods for the social evaluation of unpaid work based on everyday life time surveys and subsidiary questionnaire surveys. The uniqueness of this research is firstly that it involves new methods of aggregation and analysis in connection with primary activities and synchronous activities in everyday life time surveys. we have been able to throw light on congestion in connection with everyday life activities including unpaid work that cannot be interpreted solely as primary activities.Secondly, we have thrown light on the actual state of "new housework labor", which may be described as new human work that arises in order to link home life and socialized everyday life. In particular, in connection with the developments in the socialization of childcare, we discovered that there are aspects that cause burdens to increase as a consequence not only of the reduction of the balance between wives' work and family life as well as the occurrence of new housework labor. With regard to the use of nursing services, we discovered the influence brought about by the occurrence of "new housework labor" and "new housework expenditure."Thirdly, on the basis of the various problems that surround evaluation of unpaid work, we have developed new methods for the social evaluation of unpaid work the transcend conventionally employed simple temporal and financial comparisons. As a result we have managed to show the effectiveness of new methods involving support for work evaluation methods for pay equity which can be used as methods of evaluation for linking unpaid work with policy issues.
