本研究は2ヶ年計画で実施される。第1年度にあたる平成17年度は以下の通り,おおむね当初の研究計画に沿って研究が実施された。以下,簡単に説明する。第1に,「スポーツNPO,行政,企業間の戦略的協働」に関連する文献ならびに各種資料を渉猟し,試論的分析枠組を演繹的に導出した。第2に,参与観察を行う対象となる組織セット(スポーツNPO,行政,企業)の選定も並行して進めた。第3に,1つの組織セット(スポーツNPO,行政,企業)の予備調査を行い,上記の枠組を確認するとともに,一層の洗練化を行った。第4に,予備調査を通して,インタビュー項目(半構造化インタビューの質問項目)を特定した。第5に,選定した参与観察のフィールドへ実際に出向き,今後のリサーチを行うための基盤づくりを行った。第6に,理論的枠組を完成させた。第7に,1つの組織セット(スポーツNPO,行政,企業)を選定し,詳細な事例研究を開始した。第8に,参与観察を本格的に開始した。第9に,事例研究を継続した。第10に,次年度に行うアンケート調査のための予備調査を開始するとともに,質問票の具体的なストラクチャーの検討を行った。第11に,事例研究を一層精緻化した。
