项目摘要

本研究の目的は、(1)地域スポーツの振興とまちづくりの関係性にみられる現象やその様相を、社会的インパクトという視点から実態的に捉え、解明し、評価する、(2)地域におけるスポーツ振興と協働型まちづくりを連動させる中間組織が地域内のソーシャル・キャピタルを活用し、新しい社会的価値を創造する様相とそれにともなう社会的変容を捉える、(3)持続可能なまちづくりを進めるためにスポーツ振興による協働型まちづくりモデルとシステムを提案するといった3つの研究課題を達成することにある。本研究を進めた結果、地域内の限られた資源を有効活用し、ソーシャル・キャピタルを発揮させるためには、地域内にインパクトや新しい価値を付与するイノベーション、また事業を持ち込もうとした人、またそれを支援するフォローワーといったアクターの存在が重要な鍵を握ることが明らかになった。同時に、そのアクターを動機づけた要因、これまでの地域とのかかわりがスポーツ振興関連の活動のきっかけや社会的ネットワークの連結、結節、ひいてはソーシャル・キャピタルの創発・醸成に関係することが明らかになった。さらに、スポーツの事業化をめぐっては、地域内の信頼・規範・社会的ネットワークをベースにしたソーシャル・キャピタルが有効に機能することが確認されたとともに、スポーツ振興事業を推進することによって、新たなソーシャル・キャピタルの創出のみならず、スポーツ振興とソーシャル・キャピタルとに相互補完的な関係性、つまりシナジーが生じるという可能性が示唆された。
