前年度のデータ分析から、平成18年度は、学習者間の対話を可能にするため日本語学習者を2人一組のペアにし、タスクベースの非共時性のコンピュータ媒介インターアクションに参加させ、オンライン(BBS)とオフライン(学習者間の口頭対話)両方のデータを収集した。更に、このようなオンラインとオフラインの両方が使い分けできる環境においてLREs(language Related Episodes)という言語的な部分に焦点があたっているメタ言語エピソードが、談話構造上どのような形で遂行されているか、また学習者個々人のLREsに基づいて作成されたポストテストを2週間後に行い、このようなLREsがどの程度、習得されたのかを分析した。本研究では、BBS活動中のオフライン時でのピアメタ言語エピソードに焦点を置き、社会文化アプローチの視点から、テキスト媒介でおこなうピア協働活動の重要性を見出した。今までのコンピュータ媒介コミュニケーションを利用した第二言語学習では注目されていなかったが、オフライン、つまり共時性のピア対話を導入することによって、非共時性のコミュニケーションでは不足していた累進的で偶発的なフィードバックが可能となることを示唆した。本研究で、コンピュータ媒介コミュニケーションを利用した学習のより効果的な導入方法を提示、またこの分野における研究でオフラインデータの分析の必要性を示唆することができた。平成18年度は、17年度の研究分析及び追加データ収集の結果をまとめ、国際学会、Joint American Association of Applied Linguistic and Canadian Association of Applied Linguistic 2006 conference (AILA2006)、及び、Computer Assisted Language Instruction Consortium(CALICO2006)で研究発表を行った。以上の結果を論文にまとめ、現在ジャーナルに投稿中である。

The above results are published in the journal.
