项目摘要

この研究の目的は、20世紀末から21世紀初頭にかけての「世紀転換期」における日本の科学技術の社会史について、鳥瞰図を描くことである。具体的には、代表者が編者代表となって、『通史日本の科学技術第6巻世紀転換期 1995-2005』(仮題)というタイトルの、学術研究書シリーズを出版し、そのなかで前記の鳥瞰図を示すことである。研究開始当初の目標では、研究期間終了までに、出版物の概念設計を固め、半数以上の章の原稿を集め、そのあと未提出原稿の収集および編集作業を進め、2010年度から出版をはじめる予定だった。しかし研究メンバーが当初予定の約2倍となり、取り上げるテーマも大幅に増えたため、作業は遅れている。現在のところ、出版開始を2011年度とし、3期に分けて2013年度までに出版することを目標としている。本年度は、3年間の研究の最終年度に当たる。本年度の主な成果のひとつは、出版物の概念設計を固めたことである。全10巻のシリーズとして、3期に分けて出版を行うこととした。各巻には編集責任者を置き、編集責任者がレジュメおよび第1次稿の収集に責任をもち、未提出者に督促を行う体制とした。また過去2年間と同様、原則として毎月、フォーラム研究会を実施し、レジュメ、および第1次稿の公開査読を実施した。レジュメ提出促進をはかるために、マニュアルおよびテンプレートを作成し、メンバーに提供した。
