项目摘要

The aim of this research was to study the possibilities of the real time instruction system which enables real-time sharing voices, images and operations of applications among a large number of users at remote places, and to attempt to develop the system.There were already "Application Level Multicast (ALM)" systems. However, there was no system which enables the bi-directional exchanging of information between a large number of hosts and which synchronizes the information. Our research is a study which advances the study of current ALM.In the three year term of this research, we did the followings1. Study the technique of sending a large size of data such like a voice, a movie and a picture to a large number of nodes in short time on a structured P2P system. We also realize the technique.2. Study a mutual exclusion technique for a large number of nodes on a structured P2P system. This mutual exclusion is used to synchronize a large number of nodes. We also realize the technique.We also have developed a real time instruction system which enables real time sharing voices, images and operations of applications among a large number of users at remote places.We also have found out the optimal data partitioning way which reduces the transmitting time of the data.This system also can be used as an industrial machine controller. A complex machine usually has many motors and sensors. It is hard to control the machine by only one computer. The system can control machines like this by connecting a large number of nodes.
