This project broadly aims for a genealogy of women's body, characterized by 'child-bearing and child-rearing' function. As a basic research, this study focuses on female preachers, curers, and counselors in 17th century England. In the early modern England the perspective of functional and morphological body was gradually discovered in medicine, while people had still lived in the cosmology, that is, the harmony was in both the world: macro-cosmos and the human body: micro-cosmos. Pamphlets and reports about and of female preachers and cures reveal the complexity of their contemporaries' sex difference view.In 17th England, the enthusiastic millenarianism was penetrated widely, and many secular sectarians preached and lead the multitude.
